You’ve bought a top grade DSLR to document your wanderlust. Your Instagram feed has earned you thousands of followers from all over the globe, thanks to your breathtaking landscape shots. And now you want to bring your passion to the next level.
The good news is that the World Photography Organisation has launched the third edition of the ZEISS Photography Award. Open to photographers from all countries, this year’s edition offers as much as US$3,500 that will be used to fund the winner’s travel project, in a location of their choice. The winning photographer will also get US$14,000 worth of ZEISS lens, a visit to ZEISS’ German headquarters and free lens training, a trip to London to attend the awards ceremony in April 2018, as well as the opportunity to have the entry showcased in an exhibition.
This yeat’s theme is “Seeing Beyond- Untold Stories.” Contestants are required to submit five to ten photos that look beyond every day occurrences. Photos can tackle familiar topics told from a new perspective or highlight under-the-radar subjects. Deadline for submission of entries is February 6, 2018.
Last year’s edition of the contest attracted 30,000 photographers from 132 countries. Belgian photographer Kevin Faingnaert won for a series of photos taken on the Faroe Islands. Entries should be submitted to .
