Along with its summer flight schedule All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced a shift in its airport strategy, dividing its flights between Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda Airports. The airline will introduce service to Vancouver, Canada and Hanoi, Vietnam this summer with B767-300ER aircrafts beginning March 30, 2014. Both flights will depart from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, along with a shifting of other international flights to the hub. ANA’s direct Tokyo to London’s Heathrow flight will switch to Haneda Airport in March and begin service with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner from June 2014. Other routes affected in the shift are ANA’s Paris, Jakarta, and Manila flights. “Haneda Airport is easily accessible from Tokyo and the new flight schedule, combined with ANA’s existing domestic network, will make it easier and more convenient for passengers to connect within Japan and to travel to overseas destinations,” said ANA in a written statement. The new strategy will also make ANA the largest airline carrier at Haneda Airport.
