Before having even begun the service, Etihad has already made plans to increase the frequency of its Abu Dhabi–Dallas/Fort Worth route. The UAE flag carrier will begin flying to the U.S. city on December 3 thrice weekly with its Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, but advanced sales of tickets have pushed it to increase service to daily flights instead, beginning April 16. Dallas/Fort Worth is Etihad’s sixth U.S. destination following New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and much of its popularity is due to the large number of connecting domestic routes offered by Etihad’s codeshare partner American Airlines, which uses Dallas as its largest hub.
