Indonesia is Western Australia’s sixth-biggest market for international visitors, a number that seems set to grow with Garuda Indonesia’s decision to expand its Perth service. Currently, the Indonesian flag carrier serves the Jakarta–Perth route via Bali; starting June 28, it will operate a direct flight between Jakarta and Perth, cutting the flight time between the two cities to less than four hours. The new route will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, complete with Garuda’s latest signature interiors and in-cabin technology.
