The Duchess of Cambridge, US First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga—and now 10,000 All Nippon Airways cabin crew and ground staff. The Japanese airline announced that renowned fashion designer Prabal Gurung will revamp the uniforms as part of celebrations for ANA’s 60th anniversary and its new corporate structure. The airline said it wanted the new outfits to convey the ideas of new challenges, evolution, and Japanese hospitality while making the staff members look radiant.
“The new uniform will pay homage to the history of the airline while incorporating a fresh and modern perspective,” the designer said. “I am looking forward to unveiling my designs in the coming months and watching them fly throughout the world with ANA.”
The new uniforms will debut in the second half of 2014.
