Above: Tokyo will be Scoot’s sixth international destination.

Although the company has been flying for only a few months, Scoot has been quick to expand into new routes—including Sydney, the Gold Coast, Bangkok, Taipei, and Tianjin—and the low-cost offshoot of Singapore Airlines has now opened reservations for flights from Changi Airport to Tokyo Narita. The new route will be an extension of its Taipei service, with the first flight to the Japanese capital set to depart on October 29.

The outbound flight departs Singapore at 12.55 a.m. to land in Taipei at 5:40 a.m. before flying to Tokyo Narita for 10:40 a.m.

The return leg leaves Tokyo Narita at 11:50 a.m. to land in Taipei at 2:35 p.m. before continuing on to Singapore for 8:10 p.m.

Scoot is offering an introductory fare to Tokyo Narita starting from US$160 each way, which must be booked before October 8.
