Along with the overhaul of Los Angeles International Airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal comes the new Star Alliance Lounge on level 6. The 5,486-square-meter area has space for nearly 400 first-class, business, and Star Alliance Gold Card members, with a main lounge and a special first-class lounge. Inside, travelers will find an open-air terrace with fire pits and a panoramic view of the northern runway. A vertical wine wall with 700 bottles, including many fine Californian wines, also decks the space. And what lounge is complete without 24-hour complimentary dining and drinks, a business lounge, and eight shower rooms? Designed by Gensler, the lounge’s look was inspired by modernist Los Angeles architecture found in the 1950s and ’60s and is furnished with locally-made furniture.
Operated by Star Alliance member Air New Zealand, the lounge welcomes priority passengers from ANA, Asiana Airlines, EVA Air, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Swiss International Air lines, Thai Airlines, and Turkish Airlines.
