Virgin Airlines cleaned up at this year’s Passenger Choice Awards with Virgin America taking home three awards and Virgin Atlantic taking home two. The Passenger Choice Awards are a U.S. based, global awards program that uses airline passengers’ votes to calculate the best airline experiences. Virgin took home more awards than any other airline including “Best Overall Passenger Experience” and “Best Regional Airline” in Europe and the Americas.
Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates, and Garuda Indonesia took home the title in their respective categories for “Best in Region.” For “Best Food and Beverage,” Turkish Airlines won for their in-flight catering experience.
Thirteen categories make up the awards and winners are tabulated by Nielsen, following a year-long, online voting period. The Passenger Choice Awards were created by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) to give voice to airline passengers.
