Bangkok Airways will begin flying to Vientiane again from December 1. The Thai carrier has been flying to the UNESCO-listed town of Luang Prabang for more than 10 years, but its short-lived service to the Laotian capital was cancelled in 2008.

The new service will be daily and will depart Bangkok at 8:15 a.m. and arrive in Vientiane at 9:30 a.m. The return flight will depart at 10:10 a.m. and arrive back in Bangkok at 11:25 a.m.

The airline is promoting the route by offering round trips starting from US$77 until September 30.
