Hotel Éclat Beijing, a 100-room luxury hotel in the city’s Parkview Green, has unveiled eight individually designed pool suites, each designed to an unique theme. The hotel also boasts the first ever use of pools within individual guest rooms in China, certainly a unique feature in the bustling business metropolis of Beijing.
The 860 square feet terraces of the suites feature 16 feet long jet pools, all encased within the building’s ecosphere allowing natural daylight and filtered air throughout. Each pool suite houses ultra-spacious living rooms and separate dining areas. Bang and Olufsen speakers provide tunes and two 55i LCD 3D televisions cover entertainment. The hotel is currently offering a promotion for the suites starting at US$2,400 a night valid until December 31, 2013, versus the typical rate of US$2,935.
What’s exceptional about the suites in this already impeccably designed hotel, is the truly singular themes attached to each. In “Alice’s Mad Hatter” suite, an enormous Gao Xiaowu cartoon sculpture installation looms over the outdoor dining area. A giant koi fish re-imagined in the floor of the tile pool peeks out, while top hats alluding to Lewis Carroll’s classic serve as drop down lighting in the living room. Studded leather and cowhide decorate the “Eternal Bachelor” space, while stylish furniture by designer Chen Darui and orb-like lighting by Artemide grace the “Scandinavian Design” suite.
For the surrealist art buff, Hotel Éclat Beijing also houses the largest private collection of Salvador Dali art outside of Europe. So whether you’re booking your next trip to Beijing, or looking for a city respite, the hotel’s new offerings are certainly worth checking into.
