Hong Kong-based carrier Dragonair has announced it will be the latest carrier to fly into Myanmar. The new route is scheduled to begin January 9, 2013—subject to the usual regulatory approval—and will be the 10th destination tracked by the airline since April of this year.
The route will be served by an Airbus A321 aircraft departing Hong Kong every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Passengers from Myanmar will have access to Dragonair’s China network, as well as destinations served by its big sister, Cathay Pacific.
The outbound flight KA250 will leave Hong Kong at 9.20 p.m. to arrive in Yangon at 11.35 p.m. The return flight KA251 will depart Yangon at 1 a.m. to arrive back in Hong Kong at 6 a.m.
Dragonair is a member of the Oneworld alliance. It operates 36 aircraft serving 39 regional destinations, inclusive of 19 cities in China. At the time of writing, the airline said reservations for the route would be available soon.
