Garuda Indonesia, the flag carrier of the world’s fourth-most populous country, has opened a check-in area at Jakarta Soekarno Hatta airport devoted to its premium passengers.
The new zone, which is entirely separate to its regular check-in facility, is open to all Garuda Frequent Flier and executive class passengers. Passengers will be allocated numbered tickets and will have access to lounge-style seating while they wait for their number to be called—GFF Platinum members will be attended to by one of the airline’s personal assistants.
Garuda Indonesia was recently named the ‘World’s Best Regional Airline’ by Skytrax, a London-based consultancy and was also voted ‘Best International Airline’ by research firm Roy Morgan.
