The Hotel Nikko Jakarta will soon become the Pullman Jakarta Indonesia. On January 19 the property will switch hands. The Pullman brand belongs under the Accor umbrella.
“The rebranding initiative is an important breakthrough for Accor in Indonesia,” said Gerard Guillouet, vice president for Accor in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, in a statement. “It reflects our commitment to develop the upscale Accor brands in the country and to strengthen Accor position as the leading international hotel chain covering all segments of the Indonesia market.”
The property is centrally located in the city, across from the Plaza Indonesia shopping mall.
In November 2011 Pullman also launched Pullman Jakarta Central Park, and in February it launched Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana, which was the first Pullman in the country. A major upgrading of the hotel is planned following its rebranding to Pullman. This will include refurbishment of the rooms, lobby, dining areas, and ballrooms.
The Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa in China was selected for the DestinAsian Luxe List 2011. See the entry for that here.
