Note: While Park Hyatt already has hotels in Beijing and Shanghai, this is its first resort in China. An earlier version of this story did not make that distinction clear. A tip of the hat to Quentin Dante, who was first to point this out.

China’s first Park Hyatt-branded resort just opened in the city of Ningbo in eastern China. The resort is located on the banks of Dong Qian Lake and surrounded by tea plantations. In addition to 236 room and 17 suites, the resort features a “hamlet” of 10 free-standing villas with gabled roofs. An infinity pool on the grounds sports panoramic views of the lake.
