Spacious and bright, and with nods to Ottoman heritage, Marti Istanbul is a welcome addition to Taksim, the heart of the city’s cultural and commercial beat.

Zeynep Fadillioglu, famous for her design of Istanbul’s Şakirin Mosque, has rendered the hotel’s 270 guest rooms and suites in traditional shades of blue and purple, while the expansive lobby is a more contemporary affair.

The hotel is a short journey from the shores of the Bosphorus.

The ground floor Brasserie, which is due to open later in the year, will feature a mix of modern French and Turkish cuisines, while the top-floor spa will offer guests a broad range of treatments and four hammam units.
