Tiger to Earn Phnom Penh Stripes

Tiger Airways, Singapore’s largest low-cost airline by number of passengers, is to launch a daily flight to the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. The inaugural flight will take off on October 1.

Tiger is adding 28 more flights per month in each direction to a route already served by 68 flights per month, spread between Jetstar Asia and Silk Air. Silk Air will remain the largest player on the route with 7,242 seats on 51 flights in each direction, while Jet Star will have the smallest share in both seats and frequency with 3,060 seats on 17 flights per month.

Tiger’s Singapore-Phnom Penh flight will take off at 6.30 a.m. (except on Friday and Saturday) while the return trip will depart the Cambodian capital at 8.30 a.m. (except on Friday and Saturday).
