Vietnam Resorts: Anantara Mui Ne

The budding Vietnamese resort town of Mui Ne, just 200 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, welcomes a new addition in November with the arrival of the Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa (anantara.com; doubles from US$120). The first property in Vietnam by Thailand’s Anantara group has designed 89 rooms, suites, and pool villas with vernacular elements, a theme that carries over to its breezy spa. With a prime position on the beach, it also offers a full range of water sports, including kite surfing and windsurfing. Terrestrial diversions range from visits to the crimson-walled canyon of Hon Rom to treks up the lush slopes of Ta Ku Mountain. –Angela Leenhouts
