Espa Is Born

With the Singapore debut of ESPA (8 Sentosa Gateway; 65/6577 8888) at Resorts World Sentosa, revelers can now get pampered in style without ever setting foot outside the casino-resort complex. Perched on the western tip of Sentosa Island and occupying 10,000 square meters of verdant grounds adjacent to the Equarius Hotel, ESPA holds the ticket to Singapore’s largest—and possibly one of its lushest—spas, with 24 wood-swathed treatment rooms, two garden suites, two beach villas, and a “sleeping zone,” all interconnected by a meandering walkway fringed by lush flora and reflection ponds. A dip in the outdoor onsen or hot-and-cold vitality pools will get you in the mood for treatments to follow; try a pampering bath ritual in the marble and mosaic-tiled Turkish hammam—Singapore’s first—followed by ESPA’s signature age-defying facial.  –Evelyn Chen
