After a day of navigating the frenetic roads of Ho Chi Minh City, a well-deserved cocktail somewhere far above street level usually ranks in as a top evening priority. The good news is that this sprawling metropolis has a plethora of excellent rooftop bars—some with rich, historic connotations, others with a little more 21st-century panache. Here are five of our picks for fantastic elevated watering holes around the city.
1. Chill Skybar Restaurant & Lounge
Since opening in late 2011, Chill has raised the bar for Ho Chi Minh City’s social scene with a spectacular venue on the 26th floor of the AB Tower. You can expect staggering views, stellar service, and perfectly rendered cocktails—just be aware there is a dress code (read: no shorts and flip flops).
